Mind The Gap: With Bridget

5 Facts

1) I have to turn my bedroom light on before I open my closet door—It’s not like there’s room for anything or anyone to be creepin in there (not with the amount of shoes I own), but it’s a remnant of my childhood.

2) I sleep with my television on, muted, with an eyemask on—I’m not crazy, I just can’t sleep in complete darkness unless I know I have the option of looking around for a killer with a little light in the room.

3) If I see that Independence Day is on, I HAVE to watch it—This is not a choice.  I just have a compulsion to watch this movie whenever it’s on.  It’s a good movie, but it’s not my favorite, and I can’t explain why i’ve seen it about 50 times.

4) I keep makeup remover and cottonballs next to my bed—Because by the time I’m ready for bed (around 4 in the morning) I’m too tired to even think about dragging myself to the bathroom to wash my face.

5) I was given the option by my dentist to get braces to close my gap—And I won’t do it, because I’ve had it since my teeth first came in.  I believe it’s the tiny flaws in all of us that make us special.  Did I spend my childhood and teen years wishing that I could have perfect, straight teeth like all the kids around me?  Yes.  Of course I did.  But I also wasted so much time wishing I could be skinny and bubbly like they were, when the most attractive thing to find in someone is probably the ability to love yourself.

So yeah,  I’m strange (and afraid of the dark, and lazy, and I have a gap between my two front teeth).  But that’s okay.  It’s better than okay, because I’m the only person on the planet who is exactly like myself.
